01 · Why decimals

Between 12% and 13% sit 99 more values.

The admin's percentage field moves in whole steps. Numo works in hundredths, from 0.01% to 100%, so a discount can match the number in your plan, not the nearest round one.

03 · How it works

Three steps, all inside the Shopify admin.

  1. 01

    Pick a discount

    Numo lists the percentage discounts your store already has: amount off and buy X get Y, code or automatic. It works on the discounts you already have.

  2. 02

    Set the value

    Type 12.75. Numo checks it, reads the discount fresh from Shopify and saves the new value there.

  3. 03

    Live at checkout

    Shopify's discounts list and checkout use the exact value. Every edit is kept in Activity, with what it was before.

04 · Value watch

If the decimals go, Numo notices.

Saving a discount on Shopify's own discount page removes the decimals. Numo watches every value it sets. When one drops, it emails you and offers to put it back. Restores don't count as edits.

Numo shows you these before your first value, and asks you to confirm them. No surprises later.

    The discount page can show a rounded value

    The discounts list and checkout use the exact value, like 12.75%.

  2. 02

    Saving on Shopify's discount page removes the decimals

    Numo spots it and offers to restore the value you set. Restores don't use edits.

  3. 03

    Values take up to 2 decimal places

    Anything from 0.01% to 100%. Nothing is rounded for you.

  4. 04

    Automatic discounts stop applying on POS

    Setting a value turns off “Apply on POS”. Code discounts aren't affected.

Questions

Does Numo create new discounts?

It works on the percentage discounts in your store, amount off or buy X get Y, code or automatic. You make a new one in Shopify's own discount editor, then give it a decimal value in Numo.

Which discounts have nothing to set?

Fixed amount and free shipping discounts have no percentage, so Numo leaves them alone.

Is there a limit on how many values I set?

No. No plan caps edits, and restoring a value Shopify dropped doesn't count as one.

What happens on POS?

Setting a value on an automatic discount turns off “Apply on POS”. Code discounts aren't affected.

What access does Numo ask for?

Read and write discounts. Nothing else: not your customers, not your orders, not your products.
